Trek in Pindari Glacier


About Pindari Glacier & Laspa Dhura advance base camp trek:- 

The Pindari Glacier is a glacier found in the upper reaches of the Kumoun Himalayas, to the southeast of Nanda Devi. The most accessible glaciers in Kumoun region, Pindari is located at 3,820m in Patti Malla Danpur of Bageswar district of Uttranchal. The Pindari glacier is 3 km long and 0.25 km broad and is connected to the southwestern slope of the outer wall of the Nanda Devi Sanctury. The main peaks near the glacier are Nandakot (6880m) Nanadakhat (6611m), Pawalidwar (6663m), Baljuri (5922m) and Changuch (6322m) etc. 
 
After Pindari if we climb further to Laspa Dhura advance base camp, you will get a spectacular view of “Mount NANDA DEVI MAIN (7816m) East &many other Peaks”. There is a small pond which reflects the amazing view of surrounding peaks. 

Duration – 11 days (Delhi to Dehradun)
Maximum Altitude – approx 4000 Meters
Gradient – Moderately Challenging
Best Season – May – June , September – October 

Day 00:
Arrive Delhi; check in hotel, relaxation, overnight at Delhi


Day 01:
Sight seeing of Delhi (visit Red fort, India Gate, Kutub Minar, Lotus Temple etc.), late evening departure to Naintal by coach (non A/C)


Day 02:
Early in the morning arrive Nainital (1938meters,) check in hotel, briefing & discussion about the trek, preparation of the trek (packing & shopping of necessary items), local sight seeing.


Day 03:
Early in the morning departure to Song (nearest road head) by Jeep via Almora, Bageshwar, arrive song, trek to Loharkhet-1760meters (approx 1.5 hours trek), and overnight at Loharkhet (camping).
Day 04:
Trek to Dharuri (2621m) via Dhakuri Pass-2902m (approx 6-7 hrs of the trek), overnight camping at Dhakuri (Dhakuri is a beautiful meadows which is surrounded by forests, one can enjoy the panoramic view of Mount Durgakot, Maktoli, Nandakot, Nandabhanar etc).
Day 05:
Trek to Dwali (2576 meters-approx 6-7 hrs of  trek), it’s a beautiful camp site which is surrounded by forests and is also the confluence of Pindari & Kafni rivers, overnight camping at Dwali.
Day 06:
Trek to Phurkia (3270m 3-4 hrs of trek), beautiful meadows with panoramic view, overnight camping at Phurkia.

Day 07:
Trek to Pindari Zero point (3820meters) Laspa Dhura Advance base camp approx 4000m) &return trek to Pindari Zero point, overnight camping at Pindari Zero point.
Day 08:
Trek Pindari to Khati, overnight camping at Khati.

Day 09:
Trek to Loharkhet, overnight camping at Loharkhet.
Day 10:
Trek to Soung, departure to Haldwani / Nainital by jeep. Overnight travel to Dehradhun by coach.
Day 11:
Arrive at Dehradun.
